Landschaften, landscapes, peisaje…
''Landscapes of Emotions'' is an art project whose objective is to make small-scale abstract artworks more visible in day-to-day spaces in and around the city of Berlin. The concept stresses the importance, for the artist, of showcasing art and, for the audience, of seeing or experiencing it in places which are closer to people's everyday reality than art galleries or museums are.
Based on drawings which represent abstract landscapes, emotions, and various states of mind, viewers are invited to imagine, even if just for a minute or two, the world hidden behind the art and reflect on its potential raison d'être. One could also wonder whether the drawing indeed represents a sea or a desert or why the artist has chosen a specific colour combination.
Ultimately, collaborations with cafés, boutiques or institutional buildings are aimed at, and ''Landscapes of Emotions'' thus hopes that this particular type of interaction between art, setting, and audience is simplified and, above all, encouraged.
Small-scale and abstract
The series of artworks consists of abstract drawings in A4 format which are all framed in either dark brown or black. The drawings are made with acrylic paint, oil pastels, and markers on white, brown, and black craft paper; white watercolour paper; and white canvas.
The technique applied to most of these drawings is based on the intuitive approach to art. Here, intuition, quick action, and the sense for a good correspondence between colour and feeling take precedence over pre-planning and sketching.
All artworks are available for purchase and can be viewed below. The price of each one of them including the wooden frame is 100 EUR.
